VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD

THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME USING TURBO TAX AND I FOUND IT TO BE A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE. IT GUIDED ME STEP BY STEP THROUGH EVERYTHING I NEEDED TO ADD. ALSO OFFERING CLEAR ANSWERS TO ALL MY EXTRA QUESTIONS. I NEVER THOUGHT IT COULD BE THIS SIMPLE TO FILE. I DEFINITELY WILL DO IT AGAIN AND TELL MY FRIENDS.
What's great about it: EAST TO UNDERSTAND, VERY HELPFUL AND GUIDED

HORRIBLE FOR DOING COMMUNITY PROPERTY AND RDP TAXES
CONFUSING IS THE BEST THING I CAN SAY.
ALSO ON A 1099-OID
IF YOU HAVE BOX 8 WITH INFO IN IT TT GIVES
IF YOU HAVE BOX 8 WITH INFO IN IT TT GIVES
"JUST REMEMBER TO GO TO THE INVESTMENT INCOME SECTION UNDER WAGES & INCOME"
THERE IS NO PLACE TO GO INSIDE OF TT!
THERE SHOULD BE A LINK OR SOMETHING!

AND I AM UNSURE IF TAXES WERE DONE CORRECTLY
TURBO TAX HELP AND COMMUNITY HAVE ASKED SAME QUESTION ON 1099-OID
BUT THE ANSWERS ARE NOT CLEAR AT ALL.
HORRIBLE FEATURE FOR THIS CLASS OF SOFTWARE.

What's not so great: CONFUSING LOOKING DUPLICATE SCREENS CANT TELL WHERE YOU ARE IN PROCESS

Love Turbo Tax Home & Business

I have used Turbo Tax Home & Business for several years now to file my returns. The software does a great job of walking you through the whole tax process for both personal and business.
What's great about it: Easy to use, great walk through capabilities.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Confusing NJ Non-Resident State Tax

The state return for a non-resident - I have some issues with that. I clearly had items marked as FL and the NJ resident included all income in FL including my wife's... NOT GOOD!
This should be made more clear in the state form - I had to put in a negative number to remove my wife's FL contribution so it would not show up in the NJ state income tax.
Disappointed in TurboTax.... Should have picked it up from my Federal more clearly.
What's great about it: Fed OK - NO problem
What's not so great: NJ State Non-Resident Return - Very unclear and confusing

Love Turbo Tax

I'm an independent contractor using Turbo Tax since 2008. I believe my returns are more detailed and accurate because I take the time to thoroughly review the input.
What's great about it: Full explanations, allows review of any entry, educates, can leave and return to any section anytime, anyday,
What's not so great: would like to print a section that I'm working on at that time

Love Turbo Tax program. Support over phone was very helpful on another return. Don't see why eFile option is cutoff after a date in November of following year.
What's great about it: Organized and complete.
What's not so great: Can't eFile after a date in 2014.
