Taxes Complete

I got charged for a state return even though the box states, "1 state product via download" even though I was never given the opportunity to download and got hit up for a fee at the very end. Kinda stuck at that point... held hostage to pay fee to complete filing.
What's great about it: Easy walk through

finished my taxes!

I've been using Turbo Tax for for than 10 years and use the home and business version. As long as I'm organized on my end with all my receipts and documents, entering the info into Turbo tax is easy. If there is anything that I'm confused about the answers are in the Help section. I can't imagine using a different home tax software program to do my taxes. Thank you Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: easy, speaks to you in plain english
What's not so great: well, its taxes, so, yuck.

Tax for Idiots

I've been using Turbo Tax for 25 years and have no issues. Much more convenient than gathering up your files and taking them to a tax preparation office.
What's great about it: Everything in the process is easy to understand with great feferences
What's not so great: Didn't like jumping up to edit menu to change from estimated to actual.

You do a pretty good job, but I expect you to cover 100% of all tax cases. You've been out for a long time and you should be able to handle everything an individual could run in to by now, particularly in the small business edition.
What's great about it: Covers almost everything
What's not so great: let me down a in 2013 when I was executive for my Father's estate

I evaluated many competitive platforms and consider TurboTax if not absolutely the best but top 2 software on the market
What's great about it: Thouroghness
What's not so great: Takes quite a patience
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Still the only way

Overall, still the best way to do taxes. Started in 2004 with a free copy because I purchased a new computer and have been a fan every since.
What's great about it: Easy and efficient
What's not so great: trouble with the 179 stuff
