Time consuming

Good product for simple taxes. but not good because there is too many 2014 tax data checking while you fill out the 2015 info. The software had problems importing the data from my 2014Turbotax info. Also could not delete forms - this is a failure of the software that has not been corrected on all worksheet forms. This is my 1st year that I had experienced this many negatives with this product. All prior years Turbotax has been great.
What's great about it: good for simple taxes
What's not so great: too many 2014 tax info verifications_unable to delete forms

Need better explanations

Need more and better pop-up explanations. I rarely find the answer when I search "help."
Also need more info and input clarity re: quarterly self-employment taxes, particularly when quarterlies are paid monthly in installments instead of one lump sum each quarter. The way the input method is now formatted doesn't make any sense, particularly when the payments are displayed on the form. I finally entered the total of monthly payments as one lump sum payment in the form as if I paid on the last day of each quarter. I think I'll be OK because I'm owed a refund. Nevertheless, it needs to be worked on.

What's great about it: seems thorough
What's not so great: my state efile would not work. I should get a refund of the charge for my state efile.

Extra Charges for Everything!

Maybe it is ok to pay for a 2nd state, but it is not fare to also pay for e-file this state.
I do not get the option to file by mail either and if it is there, it is not just easy to see.
I might need to look for another software next year!

TurboTax makes the whole income tax filing process so easy! Just enter your information with the easy to follow, step-by-step guide. And, if you have some missing information, you can return to the software later to resume where you left off. You can also do some what-if comparisons just by copying the file and entering different data and information, to see if how much of a difference it would make if you (or your partner, for example) took the standard verse itemized deductions. E-filing is a breeze, too -- with extra security and identify protection included. Try it. You'll like it! -- RS342
What's great about it: Step 1:TurboTax // Step 2: e-file // Step 3: No worries!
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Trouble this year

I purchased Home and Business early this tax season and lived to regret it. Right from the beginning the program would not accept updates and generated multiple error messages. When it became apparent that I would not be able to file without an updated version of the software, I was forced to find a solution. Normally, no problem. Right? Just get on the company's website and download a patch. There was no help at all. In fact, things only became worse when what appeared to be the solution was a repair for the same problem two years ago. I finally just removed the program entirely and reloaded it which worked very well. I asked myself, "Why didn't they just tell me to do this two or three hours ago?"
What's great about it: Once the program started to work correctly, it perfomed well.
What's not so great: Numerous error messages and tons of wasted time.
