Does the job

As with prior years, TT does the job. It is cost effective and quick.

First time using non-web Turbotax in a while

Because the web file version now costs so much, I switched back over to the Mac version of Turbotax (home & biz edition). It is a bit more difficult to use, but not so much more difficult that i won't use it next year.
I had a problem where a 1099-DIV I had showed a 'Payer's Federal ID No.' = 00-0000000. Turbotax for Mac no like-ee. It took me about 45 minutes to find out how to get around that so that it wouldn't throw a tax return error in turbotax, and I could file. I don't recall getting into this with Turbotax web last year.

What's great about it: Costs less than web version (price creep year to year)
What's not so great: eFile of State costs too much

Definite Improvements since last used

Had been using an accountant to do my returns for last 5 years, but had used turbo tax before. I was very impressed with how easy and thorough it is now. Before it didn't include all the same railroad forms we had and I was concerned if it would actually have the rr retirement forms and it did. Very happy with its ease of use.
What's great about it: includes Railroad forms
What's not so great: none

Overall, very good. I had an odd situtation that took me lots of time to figure out. My semi-truck and trailer were totaled out in a wind storm. Insurance company gave me several checks to replace the equipment. Every help screen didn't help in figuring out how to depreciate the new equipment. I ended up using a new base cost, figured out on my own. Turbo Tax did not help. But then turbo tax forced me into using a DB200, when I wanted to use a Straight Line. I should have just got the forms from IRS.GOV and done it on my own. I may use Turbo Tax next year, because the hard part is done. 4 letters for a nickname ??? give me a break.
What's great about it: TurboTax came up with a deduction I didn't even know about
What's not so great: Tried to do a casualty deduction. Turbo Tax took me in the wrong direction

Anxiety Relief

filing tax returns has always induced a great amount of stress, even when I had tax accountants doing the work! After closing a business i ran for 25 years and opening another firm I elected to use TurboTax to do my filing (to save the cost of a professional).
I dreaded the filing the entire year and naturally put it off to the very end. However, it turned out to be a very positive experience and I captured some valuable deductions and credits I had not anticipated.
My filing nightmare turned into a positive learning experience and I no longer fear filing my taxes, I feel I have an ally in TurboTax, someone covering my six!
Thank you TurboTax!
What's great about it: format, ease of use, periodic assurances
What's not so great: not much!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
