Not set up for multiple Schedule C businesses

Health insurance and retirement deductions must be split among self-employment businesses to show the full deduction, and the guidance and double-checking for this complication is non-existent.

TurboTax makes the complex, simple!

I've been using TurboTax now for many years, and it is easy to use, thorough, and makes what would be a very complex process, easy! I highly recommend it!
What's great about it: Easy to use, thorough, helpful
What's not so great: None that I can think of

Once again, no sweat gettin 'er done

I've used TT for the last 6 years. Each year, it is easier and more clear to follow. I've not needed to use external resources to answer my questions. This software has not abused my time or intellect as others continue to do without fail. Thanks.
What's great about it: The detailed review with explanations
What's not so great: Had to dig a little to get correct entries for company stock options
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easier every year

What's great about it: save so much time because turbotax loads last year return info.
What's not so great: sometimes lose data going back and forth.

A long path, but pretty straightforward

We've been using this product for a while now. It may take a while (a couple hours each night for a couple days) to file a complicated return, but you can review it how ever many times you want, so you can be sure that you covered everything. Simpler returns wouldn't take as long, and can probably be done in one night. We really like the ability to save the return, and it's really helpful when it carries over information from the previous year. Makes filing taxes so much easier, and less stressful, then going to a physical office and giving all your information to someone else. Also so much more inexpensive than a personal CPA. All in all, a good product for people who have the time to save money while really getting a good view of their personal income and tax situation.
What's great about it: Interface, guidance, tips, section headings
What's not so great: Tax phrases we really didn't understand

Was very disappointed this year to find that Turbotax Home and Business no longer imports previous year's info. Took me an extra half hour + to manually enter this info after digging out last year's returns. It was one reason why I used Turbo tax in the first place. You should consider adding it back into the program.
Otherwise it does what I expect tax preparation software to do.
