Compared to the old days of handwritten taxes this is a dream. Even early software didn't have a chance in comparison. Yet there is a very long way to go to make it interactive with the IRS.
What's great about it: easy to use and understand
What's not so great: does not easily move back and fort between forms and interview

2016 tax return

thought I deleted schedule k according to the instructions, but it just kept coming back. Never entered anything into box 10 on one w2, but the program just kept entering 0. Hope these do not cause a problem with the federal return
What's great about it: have all the worksheets for future reference
What's not so great: spent hours trying to delete schedule k

I have used TTx for about 9 times and it has always gotten smoother and better over the years. Keep up the good work!
What's great about it: overall user friendly, smart and thorough enough for most people!
What's not so great: A little more help in some areas would be nice..

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 12 years. It's ALWAYS easy to use and it has always provided me with the best results.

Taxes are complicated, and Turbotax only does a lukewarm job of explaining the questions in layperson terms. Often links to the line on the tax form is missing, so I was asked to "fill in line 12 for 4592" without knowing what the form was and what info was missing. Explanations of common (obscure, to me) tax code items was missing or lacking. Filling out the forms took a long time, and I had to go to the actual forms (1040, Schedules A, B, C, etc.) to see what data was entered and if I even got a tax deduction. I was otherwise in the dark. This was frustrating.
What's great about it: question / answer profile keeps things moving
What's not so great: I can't see progress to see how I can enter info differently for better results
Pros: I bought or sold investments
