Walked the walk

What's great about it: takes the mystery out of filing. Help pages and additional information provided excellent guidance
What's not so great: audit defense continued to show wrong address and zip even after it was corrected on the forms

Seemed Easier in past Years

Seemed Easier in past Years. Hadn't used Turbo Tax in 3 years because I was jobless & we used state volunteer tax preparing services. Perhaps my memory is wrong. But, the walk through process just seemed easier.

Love that Turbo

We have used Turbo Tax for several years now. I would be afraid to use anything else. It makes our fairly complex tax situation manageable and a little less stressful.
What's great about it: Thorough and very accurate

Had more problems than usual this year

I have been using TurboTax for many years, but the experience this year was not as good as in the past. The main problems were that it missed a major deduction and failed to have me check some boxes and fill in some fields as I went through the forms. As a result there were 25 errors to correct when I ran the check. The process for fixing those errors was a bit strange, with fields being brought up in random order. Fortunately TurboTax provided the year-to-year comparison, which is where I caught the deduction, even though TurboTax said it had checked my return and caught everything.
What's great about it: Stepped through the parts automatically and filled in some needed information
What's not so great: Missed a major deduction and left a lot of fields on the forms unchecked or not filled in.
