Less intuitive, harder to navigate, harder to use. I have used TT Home and Business for years. This is the first year I had real problems trying to navigate and figure out what goes where and where to find items to complete.

Helps keep me on-track

It takes me a long time to complete my taxes, but that's because I am working every angle to legally get a reduced total tax due.
Turbotax Home & Business guides me through everywhere I can look for a deduction, and fills in a lot of info gathered from previous years.
On a few detail areas, when I clicked "Learn More" - I just wish the details provided were a little more explanatory. but that's a very minor issue.
What's great about it: Excellent method of walking me through step by step
What's not so great: Very little cons.

used this tax software three times and was, is happy with the outcomes each time. its much better than H & R blocks software.

TT, Not what it used to be

There are too many of the Yes/No type answers that are not saved when you have to go back to some item. Working with business automobile deductions is a real pain. There is no short cut to get to each auto.
Would be nice to be able to see specifics of last year data, not just a side by side summary with this year.
What's great about it: Covers everything
What's not so great: To much going back over same stuff.

Very good, but but would benefit from some tweaks

TT does 99% of what I need very easily, and I have a very complicated return, with stock sales, partnerships (K-1s) and a small business). BUT -- there are a few things that would improve it.
1) A place to enter Return Of Capital for stock sales.
2) An option for K-1s that lets me say I disposed of ALL my partnership interests (at this time I have to go to forms to deal with it).
3) It should allow multiple sales for K-1 dispositions, otherwise there is no way to differentiate between short and long term sales.

note that TT handles the vast majority of data in a K-1 and that no program will ever handle 100% because every partnership is different. I mention the two above because they are common situations for publicly traded partnerships.
Other than that, I really, really like TT. I have never felt I needed an accountant and have become a very dedicated user of TT. User since 1993.
What's great about it: Love the way data flows to the right form
What's not so great: K-1s only 90% of the way there
