Turbo Tax 2016

We have used Turbotax for years. We have never been disappointed in the complete, thoroughness, and depth of the interview process, nor with resulting outcome. We are satisfied and confident our returns are as well prepared by ourselves as with any tax preparer. Of course, this comes from years of educating ourselves with tax preparation information, recordkeeping, accounting, and preparing taxes.
What's great about it: Easy, intuitive, thorough
What's not so great: Slightly small text in the explanation panels

Best version yet!

Have been using TurboTax for many years. This version is your best one yet! It appeared to add warnings about not inputting duplicate data in two areas of the program, between business and personal. That is good. Duplicating data entry in both business and personal can create havoc! Completed all my taxes in 3 days and took my time to do it right!
What's great about it: Worked my way through easily; good format; easily understood.
What's not so great: Had to look for place to add direct deposit info, as was not expecting it to be the last thing asked of me.

Great Product. I've ben a user for over 20 years. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: Seem like there is more to do to file your taxes, than to complete the actual return.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

After working several versions and scenarios, I gain some understanding as to how the software is organized.
I will be using it on 2017
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Print options are confusing and can only print from PDF copy

What's not so great: Errors found during review should take you to form. Sometimes you have no idea what needs to be entered without context.

2016 Joint Return Review

I've been using TT since before Intuit.
This year I had extreme difficulty going back and finding several business forms to edit.
My 5 star rating is historical; this year's rating would be a marginal 4 stars.

I like to review information that I have imputed but in the business section, it'll ask all the same questions I've already answered previously and I have to enter them all in again every time I check. (Mainly home office expense/mileage expense). Very frustrating.
What's great about it: Easy to obtain
What's not so great: Not always user friendly

There are areas that are explained well but many just re-quotes the federal info which are confusing. It needs to have more detailed examples also.
What's great about it: does walk through most items
What's not so great: doesn't explain many concepts very well or at all.
