Easiest ever

Have used Turbp Tax for many years and it is always improving.
All the forms are here, help is always available.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow and never misses anything.
What's not so great: Hard to copy similar info from one form to another.

2015 Not as good as previous years

When errors were found there were no links to get to the problem area. The description of the problem was to brieif and also included some confusing code words that I would supose are field names.
What's great about it: No system crashes
What's not so great: Error links not present and some areas too confusing at the end

One expert lost me after she said she could help.
Other expert tried but could not, finally by accident after many screens it gave me the proper screen for my credit card.
Last year, I did not have to pay for the state.
Used turbo tax for 15 years
What's not so great: pay my 25, onehour on phone because a software problem

Part year resident glitches

Questionnaire would not let me proceed to state taxes because spouse was part-year resident in two states. Advised me to fill out "mock" federal, then file separately with states and joint with federal. I bypassed by going directly to form, filed, everything was okay. No need to go through that process.
What's great about it: No paper forms
What's not so great: Misguided instructions re: part year residence
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments, I moved

Health insurance box

Have been using this program for years and plan on continuing. I like the way it imports from previous years
What's great about it: I like the way it walks you through the questions
What's not so great: Health Insurance Question the system recognized the primary person but not the spouse even though it was a joint form.

Generally love TurboTax and it has gotten better over the years. I wish the interview process forced you to go through more areas and left less up to chance. But it helps me do semi-complicated taxes without an accountant so that is fantastic. We have our own business, belong to an LLC, and have non-resident taxes in a different state. Federal forms are filled easily.
State tax forms are more complicated without instructions.

2015 Tax Season

I have been doing income taxes for 35 yrs, professionally and semi-professionally. I've found the Business Turbo Tax program very comprehensive in covering report-able incomes, deductions and expenses .
What's great about it: Quick, easy and accurate
What's not so great: Need to be careful, tax deduction names have similarly named counterparts

In The Right Direction

I have used TurboTax for over ten years and it has steadily improved. The overall performance is just great. I always enjoy using TurboTax and would (have) recommend it to my friends and associates. There are a few areas that still need improvement. Some of the question in the interview method of imputing information need more clarity in the correct choices. The sections which deal with stocks and investment details fail to give information about which account is being addressed when more than one account with the same bank or brokerage firm.
What's great about it: Improved functionality. Easy access to forms and relatively simple interview process.
What's not so great: Wording of some questions unclear. review and error checking does not give enough info.
