EASY enough that even I can do it!

Whew! So Easy

Turbo Tax small business and home was very easy to use and walked you through everything. I found it a little cumbersome when choosing to go back and edit a section . You had to then answer each question again. I went back in to edit the provider number for my day care and it was difficult to get back to that number. Other than that, a real pleasure to use.
What's great about it: easy guidance
What's not so great: when going back to edit you have to go through answering all the questions you already input.

K-1 Problems

I received a K-1 (Form 1065-B) that was incompatible with the TurboTax software. The various boxes on the form did not correspond to the box numbers in TurboTax. For example, on the K-1 form, box 3 was labeled "Qualified Dividends" and box 4b was labeled "Net capital gain (loss) from other activities". According to the IRS instructions, the amount in box 3 is to be included in lines 9a and 9b of Form 1040, which I did. The amount in box 4b of the K-1 was to be included in line 12 of Schedule D. I tried to do this by overriding the amount in line 12 of Schedule D, but TurboTax refused to electronically file my return with this override. I have used TurboTax for many years and have always been very satisfied. This is my first unsatisfactory experience.
What's great about it: Everything except handling of K-1
What's not so great: Handling of K-1

I have used Turbo Tax over 20 years. Over this time my business has grown and my taxes are more complicated. Turbo Tax does a great job of walking me through the process. I appreciate the program and recommend it to anyone.

Not what I expected

I have used Turbo Tax in the past and found it rather easy to use. But this year either I'm getting dumber or the program is not explaining things clearly. I like the step by step, but found looking at the actual IRS forms a lot clearer than step by step.
I will use it again next year, maybe I'm just getting too old to understand some of the questions.

Turbo Tax Home and Business

IRS should allow you to make partial payment online. Could not do this so had to call IRS to make partial payment over the phone. Waited an extreme time when I finally got thru to a customer rep
