Tax Time Blues

Have been using Turbo Tax for several years now. I feel I can do as well as a paid tax pro, for a lot less money. Overall, I have been very satisfied with Turbo Tax. I would like to see more in depth explanations of schedules, calculations, etc.
What's great about it: Very complete, all necessary forms and schedules
What's not so great: Would like more explanation of some items

Turbo Tax Review

I have used TurboTax for approximately 10 years and it has been improved each year. Very easy to use now and hardly any updates. I generally put off my taxes until the very last minute, but feel confident that I can accomplish it all by the deadline using the program.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Am trusting that all calculations are accurate and up to date.

Good Procuct. Poor screen contrast

Overall, the product is easy to use. However, like most modern graphical interfaces, Intuit uses light colored text against a light background making the interface hard to read in some areas.
Intuit, please, just stick to a simple, high contrast user interface in all areas. Don't try to be cute or fancy. Simple and functional is the best approach.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Poor screen contrast.

I found Turbo Tax to be excellent with making sure all my deductions were identified. The process gave me the confidence that my return was accurate and complete.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
