What's great about it: Help for all the forms and questions that I had
What's not so great: maneuvering through some of the forms was a little clunky
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've been doing my taxes for 40 years, so I went straight to the forms. TurboTax works well in forms mode.

I am more than pleased with my Turbo Tax experience! Wonderful app. Knowledgeable staff. Had no idea it was easier and more complete than the app I've used for the last 9 years!

The statements I made in the Pros and Cons summarize some of the feelings and experiences I have gone through over the years. I have never used a competitor's software, so I have nothing to compare Turbotax with. I feel that I will continue to use Turbotax for the rest of my tax preparation life. Hopefully they won't have money or taxes in Heaven or wherever I end up. But just in case they do, I will ask my wife to put a copy of the next tax year in my coffin with me.
What's great about it: I have 21 years of experience working with Turbotax, so I have a pretty good understanding of the format they use.
What's not so great: In the early years, they had trouble with transferring the previous years tax to the next year.

The product (TurboTax Home and Business) prepares the tax return well. Two negative experiences deal with the user experience and not with the tax return quality:
1) I bought a boxed product, normally one expects an easy option to install from the web if your computer does not have a DVD drive. Intuit's option is "Contact Intuit for product download by phone. Have proof of purchase"
2) The fee to file the state tax is higher than the fee listed on the box. The company has a footnote that the fee is subject to change, but still an unpleasant surprise.

BACK TO THE GOOD TURBO TAX

Overall, This year's turbo tax was back to the old way, clear on what to enter and no what version to use. It also explained not to enter some entries here (eg rental or PMI) and explained it would go somewhere else.
What's great about it: EASY QUESTIONS
What's not so great: HELP WAS A LITTLE TOO HARD TO FIND ANSWER
