Nice work

Used TT 1st time this year. Liked it. It was quite simple to follow instructions, and answer questions written in English (not IRS) language. The software completed all required forms at the end based on my answers, and had me print them out. I guess the only addition I would like to see is a way to play with things (i.e. check/uncheck various deductions, IRA contributions, e.t.c) and see how that affects return or tax due. You can do this by going back and removing/adding entries, but a way to do this changes on the fly might make it a bit easier to make decisions. I will gladly use TT again next year.

I have used Turbotax and ItsDeductible for tax preparation for at least 10 years. For the most part, it has been awesome. It has certainly made preparing our taxes easier, especially as our tax preparation have become more complicated over the years.
Although, I will definitely use Turbotax again, one of my issues with the software is the difficulty experienced sometimes when trying to get back to areas to make revisions. (We are using Turbotax for Home and Business.) Particularly, this year and last year, when making certain revisions, I had to make them in the Forms area.
I have always prepared our taxes, and my profession is in the financial/accounting field, so I felt confident once I found the appropriate forms to revise. But, for others with less experience, it could be extremely frustrating not being able to get back to specific questions in the step-by-step area.
Hopefully, you will look into this issue and possibly improve. But, all and all, over the years, I have found Turbotax to be a very useful tax preparation tool.

Unbelieveable

The experience was amazing. It was so easy I became concerned and sent 2 more hours poring over the return only to find out it was all done correctly and I tired myself out for no reason. I'm a believer... in TurboTax

You've Done It Again!

What's great about it: Easier to Do This Year. Thanks for upgrades, especially FLAGS

Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Penalty/No Penalty

2015 is my daughter's first time filing a tax return. There isn't supposed to be an under-withholding penalty since there was no tax paid in 2014.
The program automatically added the penalty. I had to go to forms view and put a zero on the line for the previous year's tax (it was blank). The penalty went away.
What's great about it: Automatically figures the under-withholding penalty if you filed a return last year.
What's not so great: Gives a penalty if you didn't file a return last year.

2015 Turbo Tax just as good as every other year we have used it. We have used it to prepare our joint return, our children's returns and even our Mother's return. Never had a issue with any return we have filed using Turbo Tax.

Back after 4 years

I'm back after using a tax service for the last few years. I'm back because the tax services charge 3 times what Turbo Tax costs and didn't give any better results.
It's fast and easy to use. Even for a newbie.
I was a bit bummed to have to pay extra to actual do the e-filing. It used to be free and now it comes out at the end with no mention of these fees on the box. Still it was cheaper than a tax service.
What's great about it: fast and easy. It walks you through all the deductions and forms
What's not so great: No mention of extra filing fees
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
