Inadequate State filing program

I filed a Colorado State return for My daughter and son-in-law.
that went OK.
But I was not able to file a Wisconsin Non-Resident return for my
wife and I. Very disappointed.

Great program but no emergency number.

I realize that there is no way to cover every situation for everyone. However, as a non expert in taxes or the Turbo Tax program, I got stock a few times in the process with questions that were covered later in the program or in a different form. This cost me considerable time. Eventually I figured things out myself just to see my issue covered in detail later in the program. I would have gladly paid to talk to real person to get guidance and continue on. The Q&A from other users was not effective because the terms used by non experts are not the same.
What's great about it: The program is almost fool proof and guides you well.
What's not so great: No live person to consult if you get stuck.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax for Home and Business is a program that is thorough and guides me through the whole process step-by-step. I trust that it covers all areas of concern and produces the exact documents that I need for filing. Free e-filing is a great bonus! I've not had any problems or audits during the 13 years that I've used the product.
What's great about it: Simple to use, ease of acquiring information and answers
What's not so great: Takes a while to figure out how to navigate through the program

Turbo tax makes filing a breeze. asks all the right questions, does the math, all you have to do is enter figures and it does the rest.

K-1 Data Inputs

Unable to find best way to enter K-1. My K-1 had info for both Box 1 (Business Income) and Box 2 (Real Estate Income). Tried doing what the TT program said - enter a K-1 for each. Didn't work-increased my tax liability yet the Box 2 figure was negative.
Also, how was I to enter the data from Boxes 5 through 20? No guidance. Also, there was no specific place to enter the last five items in Box 20Z except as "Other". Additionally, in the state TT program, there was nowhere to enter state data that was on a state-by-state supplement to the K-1/

What's great about it: Overall, TurboTax (TT) is a very good program.

Great Software Package.
What's great about it: Used for several years now. Had few, 1-2, each year but customer service help was quick to answere my question & neeed
