Sometimes when you go to the final review (which I love, cause I always miss an I or a t) there are places to put zero's and such that doesn't seem like I really need to do, but overall a good experience for as complex as taxes I have
What's great about it: can't miss much
What's not so great: some things confusing

Still needs Work

Data entry for K-1 Forms needs more work on data entry-ie lines 1 and 2 and the need to do it twice. Home Office should have its own major heading When errors are found-sugesstions/hints should be offered-K-1 forms, etc
What's great about it: Remembering data from previous years
What's not so great: K-1 Forms and help need more work

A Problem Needing Attention.

TurboTax has always been dependable and accurate when I was working full-time (before retirement). The Home & Business program is excellent for a person who has a small business or is a consultant who tries to stay a little busy.
The problem that I have found is with the CSRS-LE pension (Form 1099-R) when Line 2a has "UNKNOWN" for the taxable income. The directions are great for the person who is not retired and working and filing their income tax return. It is not so easy when filing a tax return that includes this "unknown" in Line 2a in the Form 1099-R.
If Intuit can fix this problem, they would be the hero of many federally retired individuals. Please consider making this process easier for federal retirees.
What's great about it: This is a smooth Process.
What's not so great: Not friendly for CSRS federal retirees.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using Turbo Tax since the early 90's ... it has gotten better every single year ... I shadowed my accountant two years before I trusted Turbo tax enough to use it for my actual return ... it was withing $20 of the accountant for the two years I watched...
It is thorough and easy for anyone.
What's great about it: Everything about it
What's not so great: Nothing

Some usability issues but still a breeze to use

I'm using the MAC version. It will be more helpful to have clearly defined scroll boxes always visible in critical areas. The W2 form's 12a box for example. It was impossible to know you could scroll to add more entries unless you accidentally moused over the right edge of the box area. Also, if one has already entered expenses for a business, you should not be prompted to enter the expenses later in the form. Was asked twice to enter home office deductions, once at the beginning of the form and again when determining standard deductions. Under Supplies for business expenses, the guidance says it should be for expenses $200 or less or with less than a year's shelf life. However, once you begin to enter the information it indicates that Musicians can enter items like keyboard amplifiers or other equipment critical to the business, which can be used for longer than a year, and costs more than $200. The Depreciation and 1099-B sections are EXTREMELY confusing and could use improvement. Hope this is helpful.
What's great about it: Ease of use, refund tracking, good instructions
What's not so great: Some UI issues that create confusion
Pros: I bought or sold investments
