Made a Complicated Process Easier

TurboTax is reliable and complete. Really feels feels like a capable tool to handle our complicated tax documents. I'm so grateful that this service exists. First time I ever used an actual human accountant, I was so frustrated that I had to pay so much! I've used TurboTax ever since and have always enjoyed such peace of mind with it.
What's great about it: Everything in one place. Ready to answer questions. Saved time. Saved money. Educational. Even a little fun...
What's not so great: Just a computer program, nothing to do about that.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love Turbo Tax

I have used Turbo Tax for over 20 years. It walks you through everything from income to deductions so you don't miss out on any money you're entitled to. Another great thing is that once you input all the information into TT, the following years you can transfer last years taxes into the current year so you don't need to input all that data again. If your taxes are particularly complicated like mine are, there is phone and online support to help you navigate. In years past, this was an extra charge (very reasonable in my opinion) but now is offered free!
They even offer Audit Defense, an extra service, for added support if you are ever audited.
I've never used any other program other than Turbo Tax because I've been completely satisfied.

What's great about it: Ease of use, free telephone and online support with qualified and knowledgeable agents
What's not so great: Does take a lot of patience to do your own taxes

Software Glitches

Software from Turbo Tax "Home & Business" and "Business" like to conflict with one-another when trying to open and prep. It seemed easier this year.
What's great about it: Easily able to navigate, and thourough questions and help topics.
What's not so great: Turbo Tax "Home & Business" and "Business" software conflict when opening prep files

Thoughts on TurboTax

Need better integration of "filling out the forms" and using Easy Step to see what one missed or didn't figure it out correctly on the first try. Thank goodness for the "find errors" and "the review process".
What's great about it: Got taxes done!
What's not so great: Difficult to figure sale of rental condo.
