Easy, Breezy and very cool!

Gathering all your necessary information prior to entering TURBOTAX is hard work. Entering it all into TURBOTAX is a breeze. All math computations are done for you--so if you have all of your information at hand, you don't even need a calculator! The program instills confidence. If something is amiss, TURBOTAX points it out in no uncertain terms and guides you in clarification. There is even an "AUDIT-OMETER" to let you know if you're pushing your luck (AKA "credibility"). All you need is a decent computer (I'm using an off-the-shelf 2012 iMac), a good internet connection and a sincere desire to get it done RIGHT.
What's great about it: Great interactive dialog and foolproof guidance
What's not so great: Addition help from community, etc is often inconclusive and unclear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

extra State Estimated Tax

Turbo Tax software had no place or form to use for Estimate Tax PAID on the 2nd State Tax.. Overriding on the line can make mistakes, Turbo Tax Review did not catch this mistake, went on e-file, State rejected the E-file return. Must refile again.
Turbo Tax has been great, you need to correct this to make it perfect !
What's not so great: No place to input ES tax for 2nd State tax return.

Recommend this to EVERYONE - so simple to do taxes and saves $. Most people don't even realize how easy it can be. Thanks for creating such a helpful product.

not as easy as other years

I have used turbo tax products for my small business for years and will continue to do so. ( I tried other products on occasion but prefer their walk through the best.) it is easy to understand and compared well to a tax preparer that I had used, at 1/5th the price.
What's great about it: walk through was great as always

Useful program

Generally a good and useful program. Usually very clear questions and explanations -- the exception being Foreign Tax Credits, especially if there was a large carry-over. This could use some work. Also, in 1099-INT and -DIV screens, all that identifies each row is payer's name -- it could be clearer if account number was also shown, in case of multiple accounts with one payer.
But these are minor complaints -- I certainly plan on using TurboTax again next year.

What's great about it: Through, easy to follow process; covers almost all needed forms
