I have used Turbo Tax for several years and have always been very pleased.
What's great about it: I like the way it compares this year with last.
What's not so great: Nothing that I can think of.

software works just as intended. makes filing via e-file a breeze.
What's great about it: ability to transfer previous year info
What's not so great: fees for state e-file
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I learned while getting paid!

I feel that I know as much now as a professional tax preparer after using turbo tax for the last 10 years. There is no difference in the time requirement for preparing taxes between paying someone and doing it myself. The only difference is that I can prepare my taxes at MY pace and from the comfort of my own home office! Will continue to use this product>
What's great about it: Excellent step by step program of walking me through the process!
What's not so great: None

What's great about it: Most all was easy to follow and gave detailed explanations for the most part.
What's not so great: A better explanation and details to the the earned income credit as to why/why not you are/are not receiving it.

Almost Great

I really like the detail in walking you through every section step-by-step. The personal section is really great, however the business section was a little tough. This is my first time doing it myself and I found it hard to navigate through some of the business information. I would type in questions and the answers that would come up were not even close to what I was looking for, so I would end up looking for answers on the web. But overall, I think it's a great program and a great tool!
What's great about it: The step-by-step is incredibly helpful. Very detailed.
What's not so great: It can be hard to change or correct information as you don't always know where TT is pulling information from.

found some areas the could have moved on to "additional donations", etc instead of having to go back to them

Program downloaded our mortgage interest twice. Once when I entered my wife's bank account number to pick up interest income and again when I put in my checking and savings account number to do the same. Would have resulted in reporting double the amount of interest charged by the bank on our mortgage.
What's great about it: All excellent. Easy ti understand.

GREAT TAX SOFTWARE

Would like a detail breakdown of summary total amounts easily accessible while preparing return and later for Audit purposes...
What's great about it: Ease of use, accurate
What's not so great: Need more storage of details in summary values
