This was the first time I have used Turbotax and it was very helpful. At times a little overwhelming but was good.
What's great about it: It helped me go thru every possible deduction
What's not so great: Sometimes was a little confusing and overwelming

Lost in Business

Since 2014, separating Business from personal, I have found time was spend deleting business data from one location while it should be entered into another. As a farmer, I would like to have the choice to be direct there sooner in the process.
But being Turbo tax user since the floppy disc years, I have no reason to leave there straight forward tax prep program

Good overall but room for improvement

Entry of stock sales was awkward this year. I had transferred stock from an employer provided custodian to a full service (and cheaper) broker when I retired. I needed to group transactions to provide specific sales dates and to separate ESPP sales from other sales on the same dates so I had several similar entries. Two things stood out as issues. When I initially entered the sales info I grouped multiple sales dates for the same category of stock and entered "Various" for the sale dates. TT let me do that and autocompleted "Various" as soon as I entered the "V". In the review it flagged the entry as an error because a specific sale date was required. A better data entry edit would have caught that when I first entered the "error". Which would have saved me a lot of rework when I found out I needed to regroup data by sales date. Once I began to do that I tried to edit the existing sales info with new dates, quantities, and $$ amounts. The "edit" dialog opened and allowed me to change the description line but did not allow me to change anything else. I had to delete the sale and start over completely to enter sales by date.
What's great about it: I've used almost no other tax sw since 2003 because it is thorough, accurate and easy to use.
What's not so great: I was disappointed this year in the way the Sch D dialogs worked.

Ever More Complicated

Overall good but had forms not show up when walking through the topics, then they would show up when you went back. Others had to add items and then had duplicate. Review showed multiple 1116 forms but form list only had one.
What's great about it: Generally good but had more program glitches this year
What's not so great: Not sure how some of the forms were listed

My 2015 Refund

Overall, this is a great product. I think it is improved from last year's version.
I did not like that the program limits you to eFiling only 5 returns. I help out some friends and family members with their returns and this caused me a problem.
Some of the guidance for business expenses (especially vehicle expenses) were a little confusing and could have had a little more detailed explanation.
What's great about it: The "jump to" feature in the search engine, the ability to use a guide or walk through on your own
What's not so great: Only allowed to eFile 5 returns; some of the guidelines for business expenses not always clear
