I found it difficult to track where business expenses were going. It was cumbersome to have to walk thorough categories click by click re-entering data to see where an item went. I had to jump to end and print out the forms to track some things down. Put more summary sections in which show the input values and not just totals.
What's great about it: Complete and thorough.
What's not so great: Difficult to follow.

Takes the Panic out of Taxes

I have used Turbo Tax for the past 8 years. I don't fret over filing my taxes each year simply because I know this program will walk me through every step. Turbo Tax is very thorough. Their online help resource provides great assistance. I even was able to speak to a customer service person over the phone. He was very friendly and did his best to address my problems, concerns as well as answer all my questions. I highly recommend this program. I intend on using it every year.
What's great about it: The ease of walking through step by step
What's not so great: glitch with 1099-MISC reporting
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

GREAT PROGRAM

Even with a fairly complicated tax situation the program walks you through without causing confusion and then prompts you to common situations as well.

Better than paper

I can't imagine doing my taxes without Turbotax. I'd have to hire someone. Even though Turbotax is excellent there is still room for improvements. Many of the tax categories are still vaguely explained or confusing. Also in some places its easy to double claim (Schedule C) but that really is your responsibility to know your numbers. I still find myself looking a lot of stuff up on the internet before filling in the blanks. Actually Turbotax is so easy its easy to make mistakes too. I always double or triple check my returns to be sure. Going into the forms view is pretty cool too and I always save everything as a PDF when done. I've had to refer or print from those files more times than I can remember over the years for various financial things.
What's great about it: Makes everything pretty easy
What's not so great: Explanations can still be poor.
