Software is excellent for a self-employed person. Have used this software for many years and rely on it for its ease of use since I am a late filer. This year was no disappointment.

TurboTax State errors

TurboTax for CA didn't correctly carry forward passive loss for AMT for my K1 and I couldn't manually override it. This has been a problem for several years. Federal version works correctly
I have a K1 for an investment that was completely transferred to another new investment with a new K1, but there is no way to mark the old one as final without specifying a sale or abandonment that are not appropriate.

Easy to use!

from Colorado
Overall, very satisfied with the product and it's ease of use. A bit more coaching up front could have saved me a headache with respect to reversing taxpayer and spouse info. This was our first year using TurboTax, so it's not a surprise that TT didn't catch it. But a popup verifying prior year's taxes before continuing would have helped a bunch.
What's great about it: I like the wizards and calculations that maximize my return
What's not so great: I entered the taxpayer and spouse backwards from prior year returns. This was a pain in the butt to fix.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used this product for over 15 years.

Have used this for over 15 years. Started with Mac In Tax and then Turbo Tax. Love the product but Intuit has done something to the program that will not allow the printing of the Supporting Detail pages. I use those Supporting details to place multiple items from multiple accounts into my tax return. This feature went away a couple of years ago. Sad that it will not do them. Makes it hard to go back to my 2013 taxes and look at the Supporting Detail printed pages to figure which accounts go where on my tax return…… Please get this fixed.
What's not so great: I have a problem with the program not wanting to print supporting details, when you print out the copy for me to keep.
