Always a breeze

This product consistently makes the filing process for me and my family so easy and straightforward. I actually do not mind doing taxes!
What's great about it: Detailed and always up to date on the current tax rules
What's not so great: noticed a couple of lesser used items no longer in the walkthru

Got it done

Turbo Tax was just fast and easy. I was at the end before I even knew it. The instructions were clear and concise with little need for long reading of detailed instructions. The section on IRA funding and the impact on taxes was a hit.
What's great about it: Ease of operation and clarity of instructions
What's not so great: Not much information on student loans
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy Entries

Recently upgraded to Home and Business since my wife is a freelance artist and designer. Couldn't be easier to enter income and expenses for her.
Turbo Tax asked the right questions for you. I have been using Turbo Tax for over 13 years. No problems. Best of all no audits.

Easy

I have used Turbo Tax for years, except for two years I tried other products. Both times I scrapped the other product and went back to Turbo Tax. This is the easiest and best product on the market.
What's great about it: Easy to use, step by step preparation method
What's not so great: You have to trust their calculations.

No carry over

Probably use another service next year.... did not carry over last year information..... had trouble listing part time business correctly... kept asking for information not relevant to part time work....either that or it sent me in the wrong area....somewhat confusing for me....but then I am not that great with this stuff...
What's great about it: gives most information and forms, easy print out, has information help box
What's not so great: Did not carry over information used from HR Block program last year

TT 2015: Still doesn't work for foreign income

Once again, I cannot e-file (a legal requirement in NY) since TT cannot handle foreign retirement income, which does not have a Payer EIN.
Time to use TaxAct (which does handle efiling of foreign income). Cheaper too!
What's not so great: Cannot e-file if you have foreign income!

Great Product

We have been using Turbo Tax for more than ten years. It is still easy to use, even for the more complicated returns.
Some of the questions are a little difficult to understand, but that could be due to the federal tax laws.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Last minute updates
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
