Turbo Tax Home and Business

I have used Turbo Tax for years- the last few years though we used an accountant -- but we went back to Turbo Tax again this year - which gave us a better experience.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: fixing errors is not always easy going back to forms

Long Time TurboTax User - Very Small Bus - Meh...

Again forced into Home & Business version after using Deluxe forever to fill out the same forms. Several navigational confusing items. Stupid things like trying to figure out how to apply refund to next years taxes required navigating the entire "2017 estimated payments" flow just to answer what was about the last question. Several times I had to jump to the form view to verify that numbers were being placed where I expected them. The flow for electing the new Safe Harbor...for Small Business did not seem to ask the right questions or in an understandable way based on the advice I found on the internet. As expected, the IRS site was confusing. If I were in the Deluxe version, my expectations would not have been so high. Now that I'm in the Home & Office version, this should have been very clear. I probably left some $$$ on the table. They don't tout that in their advertising. IRS and Turbotax, no mas. . .I give up. Can't wait until next year.

Turbotax - a tax saver and must for every soul!

Extremely helpful, even novices will find it easy to work with.
What's great about it: Very user friendly and simple to understand.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Becomes easier every year!!!

Have been using Turbo tax for several years to do several family returns. We use the Home and Business Edition. There are some of us who are self employed, some stock investments, rentals, etc. turbo tax has helped make all our returns easier!

2015 Taxes in the can!

After over 10 years of using Turbo Tax, I still think it is one of the best products out there. This year, however, I wasted a lot of time trying to run the updates unsuccessfully. I finally got the updates to run but probably spent over 45 minutes spinning my wheels as I went through troubleshooting the problem before I got it to work. Very frustrating.
What's great about it: Entry was straight forward and easy
What's not so great: Updater did not work properly. Wasted a lot of time downloading and running software fix over and over.

Decided last minute to file separately

Overall I am pleased again with Turbo Tax. I got married on the last day of 2014 so we filed joint for 2014 but this year was more complicated and we can't file for my husband yet. We decided to file separately so I can get my refund for what I paid in. I thought it would be a big hassle but it wasn't. I just started a return for me and one for my husband. All the information that is ready is added. We printed his form out to file for his extension and I can get my refund. I may do it this way from now on since he procrastinates and I like to get it done as soon as I get my W-2.
What's great about it: Turbo tax really helped with the 2 tax returns
What's not so great: Having to enter our information manually for each one

2015 Turbo Tax Review

My husband and I each have a personal business and I have used Turbo Tax since 1996. I love the fact that it walks you through every aspect of your tax return to make sure you don't miss anything when you file your return.
What's great about it: Walks you through every category step by step so you don't miss any deductions
What's not so great: Wish you could get more specific information easier for a particular situation
Pros: I bought or sold investments
