$$$$$ In My Pocket

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. I own an LLC that I file as a Schedule C on my personal tax return. You guys have saved me thousands compared to my friends in the same situation that use a tax service. They not only pay for the service, but they don't get near the deductions that I get using the step-by-step process in Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Simple, Easy, Not Geek Oriented

Overall, I really liked the program. I have used the same programs professionals (cpas, attorneys, tax preparers) use and found them to make the process more difficult than it needed to me. For the most part, TurboTax hits the right balance of asking relevant questions while making the process as understandable as possible.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Asked pertinent questions.
What's not so great: The questions for the Schedule C can be difficult to understand. Examples would be helpful.

Turbo Tax is great. Easy to use. Very confident in my return calculations.
What's great about it: Step by Step instructions are great.
What's not so great: Farm rental vs rental is confusing.

What's great about it: transfers LY's info, convenirnt to go into the forms section and review/compare to LY
What's not so great: Business portion a little bumpy using the first time

Solid Tax Prep

I've been using TT for about 10 years. It's overall very good for the mostly-commoner such as I. I have even thrown in some real estate sales, brief rental property income and starting my own business. TT handles it very well and I'm satisfied.
There are some issues that need to be resolved that allow me to enter deductions on 2 differing forms without acknowledging there could be a problem. For example, mileage deduction was added to schedule C, then on another unrelated form 2106 I think. Only 1 was correct and it took me some time to ask some questions to make sure I didn't take the same deduction twice.
Then, please allow us some easier way to directly accessi the forms to correct the item without having to re-enter in the interview.
What's great about it: Thorough, detailed, good explanation of tax related issues
What's not so great: Confusing on some features. Not enough feedback when a deduction is taken in a couple of areas by mistake.

Best Experience in Taxes

I've used Turbo Tax for 14 years straight and always get through the pain of filing with great ease. The best part is to see the refund racking up each time data gets entered. I encourage all that have to file to use Turbo Tax.
My Dad was an accountant and did my taxes for years until he had a stroke and I needed to take over. While I consider him to still be the expert- this all has gone well.

Disappointed

I've used another tax program fro years and decided to finally use TurboTax. Some questions weren't as detailed and surprised that although it uploaded my information from last year, it picked up my son as a dependent. Although I claimed him as a dependent in the past, he is now 26 and no longer eligible as a dependent. After reviewing the form, I realized it picked him up and I had to delete his information. It also didn't seem to check logic as the other program did. Let's hope it works as well. Also fees for filing state returns seemed expensive.
What's great about it: Filing seemed easy
What's not so great: Didn't catch everything
