Turbo Tax

I liked most of how turbo tax guides you through the whole process. I did find that there was a lot of repetition the closer I got to the end of the process. I was rather surprise to see that the cost of turbo tax doubled by the time I e filed. When you add the cost of the state software and the processing fee the amount of money spent is double what I paid when I purchased the product.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is straight forward and easy to use.
What's not so great: Turbo Tax is very expensive when you add in the processing fee.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Filing 2015 Taxes

Austin from the MAC support group was invaluable in resolving several problems: an email address that caused problems, AMEX was having problems when I attempted to file my taxes and pay, then negotiating a required update of my laptop and and finally resolved the inability to file. He was patient with me (age 81) was clear spoken, courteous and professional.
A superb employee. I hope Intuit gives him a bonus.
What's great about it: Superior, professional service from TurboTax MAC representative, Austin
What's not so great: Getting through the phone menus...and repeat.

Fantastic except for State submission

What's great about it: I LOVE TurboTax. It makes taxes fun and thorough and gives you an excellent sense of getting it done correctly!
What's not so great: Its impossible to take advantage of the free state submission. It never works correctly.

The stress is over!!

Tax time is stressful enough - Turbotax is user friendly enough to help me stay focused long enough to get the job done with a good level of confidence and comfort in the work I did to get this year's task done. I would recommend this tax package to anyone who is looking for a certain amount a security when it come to the yearly taxing task of taxes - ;-)
What's great about it: Easy - absolutely user friendly!
What's not so great: Are you kidding?? My taxes are in!!!

Overall, Great; But Needs a Little Improvement

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years now. It's easy to use and cost-effective. No history of problems when I filed Married Filing Joint. This year, our filing status changed to Married Filing Separate and it was a complete nightmare. Instead of taking a couple hours or so, the process took me 16+ hours. It was very frustrating because the instructions in the program were not specific enough. I highly recommend Turbo Tax updates this and resolves the problem.
What's great about it: Generally, easy to understand, specific step-by-step procedures, does not require background in taxes
What's not so great: MFS, Community Property needs improvement. The program needs more specific instructions for users.

N3800 fORM

N3800 was not used but Turbo Tax thought I did.
What's great about it: Most forms worked fine
What's not so great: Had to delete state form and do it over as form not supported or used
