2015 Turbo Tax

What's great about it: Well organized and easy to use

I would recommend this product to anyone who want to do their own taxes. It is very easy to use and I trust it. I only use Turbo Tax for the past 10 years

I keep buying TurboTax. You keep the same error

Every year, Your software will not let me efile my Utah tax because your forms do not recognise the ID # that ends with WMP, which is for Gas and Oil royalties. You tell me it is valid, but I still cannot efile. You have made some improvements, but I still cannot file electronically for Utah.
What's great about it: I enjoy the transfer option and the ease of creating my tax papers.
What's not so great: I can never file my Nonresident state tax electronically.

It's OK, but...

I use TurboTax because "I used it last year". Bad reason, but true. The biggest beef I have with the software is the inability to go back to adjust something I had already entered in the interview when I realize subsequently that it should be addressed elsewhere. Specifically, this happened with a rental property that I converted this year. I needed to adjust what expenses I related to the rental vs when I owned it privately. That wasn't intuitive. I had to go to Forms view, and then mash through it that way. Same type of issue related to improvements made to the rental (depreciation method selected, etc.). So the software on the whole is pretty good. I just wish these other things were more intuitive.
What's great about it: Does all the mechanical stuff for you
What's not so great: Tough to go back and fix info
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Some bugs

I have used Turbo Tax many years but this year it seemed to have more bugs than in the past. Also the premium should have both state and federal efile for free but they continue to charge for state e-filing.
What's great about it: Relatively easy
What's not so great: Locked up a couple of times but seemed to have saved everything

I am so confident to do our taxes with Turbo Tax....I believe I started using the program maybe 2000.....the guidance & help info in the program is absolutely wonderful.
What's great about it: TurboTax guides me thru every step....been using it for years
