Needs some work

Because of a problem with the e-filing of our 2014 taxes not going through, my husband and I both sat down to go through the e-filing steps for 2015. I went through all of the steps, with him watching, and somehow managed to think we had finished all of the steps and successfully filed when we had not. I have no idea what happened; I wish I'd taken video so I could go back. Luckily, I watched my email for a few days and determined that we had to go back. However, last year I was convinced we had filed and ended up with several thousand dollars in fines. Today we sat down again and e-filed successfully. There's no way we could have missed any of the steps, the first time.
Obviously there is something unclear in the steps, or a bug in the program, for this to happen to us last year, and again this year with both of us watching to make sure we had completed all steps. Next year I will seriously consider using an accountant simply for peace of mind. If I'd done so last year it would have saved me thousands of dollars. Incidentally, if you have any information about a bug, or similar complaints for the 2014 program that could help me get the penalties waived and returned, that would be much appreciated.
What's great about it: Pretty easy to fill out forms

I love this product!

I've used TurboTax to do the taxes for myself and my family for years and it's always been easy to use. Some of the tax issues have been complicated but HELP and some research at the IRS site has been enough to complete the task.
What's great about it: Ease of use, great HELP function, good value for the price
What's not so great: None this year

State efile problems

Since this state efile cost over 25 % of the TurboTax total cost, I expected it to be first rate. It was not. I will not use it again. The reject error kept indicating not in sync with receiving computer and to check the time on my computer. I did repeatedly and ran the correction review in Ttax each time. Same result -rejection- and same error message. I waited a day and tried again after running the correction checker one more time. Reject. Same error message. I printed copies and filed by mail. The fix to this issue may have been simple but if the program does not clearly identify it to the user, its a poor program.
What's great about it: rejections were quick
What's not so great: poor program feedback to fix problems

2015 Personal Tax Return

It made processing a K-1 Form for a limited partnership very easy. During the Review after completing the state portion, it asked me to enter descriptions for some items, but wasn't very clear about what those items were. Could have provided more information about what was wanted and why. I had to search through some of the forms to see what was being referred to. Also, when printing the returns, it would be good to have a simple selection to print the state return that needs to be mailed, instead of making me look at a list of forms and other documents to select what I needed. Otherwise, TurboTax 2015 made filing pretty easy.

Great Product

I have been using Turbo Tax for the last 15 years. The product just keeps getting better. There is no way I would be able to file taxes without the help of Turbo Tax. Every year the filing becomes more difficult .
What's great about it: Easy to use. Product improves every year.
