A Work Aid That Actually Works

It is like the "Australian Cream" commercial. I buy TurboTax because of its reputation and my years of experience with it and I continue to use it because IT WORKS.
What's great about it: I have used TurboTax for multiple, consecutive years. I am very please with the user interface year to year.
What's not so great: EFile: Prealert on drivers' lic requirements would be helpful.

Please improve - add a search function

I want to be able to go to forms by IRS number or topic.
What's great about it: Great to load data, great checks
What's not so great: I could not look up or go to areas as readily as I would like.

2015 Tax Returns

I think that you do a good job, of taking an unpleasant task and making it as painless as this tax thing can be. I know the taxes are far far more complicated than they should be but it is what it is.
What's great about it: For me faily fast, most data is easy some is still not clear to a lay person.
What's not so great: Some of the phasing you use is not always clear.

I would like to be able to add a note to MY personal records on any line in the form, that would stay with my copy of the records but not be submitted for filing by e or mail.
What's not so great: efiling federal but printing state for mailing does not have a clear proedure.

getting worse each year

I have used this program for about 15 years, and this year has been the worse experience I have ever had. You really need to do something about the program lock up and taking quite a while to go from one form to the next. Don't know why it is locking up. I never had this trouble before, but very time consuming and frustrating. Don't know if I'll try it again next year if you can't improve it.
What's great about it: seems to have all the forms
What's not so great: the program is locking up and very slow.
