What's great about it: TurboTax walks you step by step
What's not so great: Confusing about 1095-A and a 1085-B; not sure if have the credit for my one month with 1095-B

The only way I'll do my taxes

I can't even begin to express how easy it is to file taxes that used to be complicated. I have 100% confidence in TurboTax thanks to years of excellent results. The one time the IRS came back and told me I had prepared my taxes wrong I made one simple phone call to TurboTax and they told me exactly what to tell the IRS to show them THEIR mistake. The problem was immediately corrected and they politely apologized for their error. Thanks TurboTax!

easy, just wished it worked with Google Chrome instead of MS Windows! Because of this I had to switch to my very antiquated old computer running Windows Vista.
What's great about it: very easy to use
What's not so great: I had to pay taxes

HOME AND BUSINESS

TurboTax has saved me thousands and reduced my stress. Accountants and tax attorney's have cost my a lot more and they usually make mistakes or don't catch deductions.
TurboTax asks you all the questions they would ask accept you don't have to pay their fee.
It could be a bit more clear on the items shared in business and personal deductions.
What's great about it: Covers all the stuff that you need as a home business
What's not so great: Need to make it clear about the info that is shared in business and personal sections
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overly complex

Form 8606 is overly complex and misleading, and does not
flow the correct number to the 1040.

The review process did not catch a number of blank lines in the 1099 forms that were finally detected during the e-filing process.
The command +G did not always jump to the worksheet to be filled out; I had to guess the title and hunt down the worksheet.
Too many work sheet jumps ! Why can't I enter the data directly on the line of the IRS form ?
What's great about it: I finally finished it !
What's not so great: Form 8606 is overly complex and misleading.

Tedious Process

I've use TTax for years. it's becoming too Pricey. Fees have gone up a lot in the last 3 years.
What's great about it: Imports my records
What's not so great: Forces me to go through forms multiple times.

Back button should return you to the last step, not the last in a line of a topic. Sometimes you search to get to an area and want to return to the original topic, not the preceding step in the single topic searched for.
What's great about it: Comprehensive and easy
What's not so great: Sometime navigation isn't intuitive. Needs a proper Back button function

It was a great experience...my accountant retired after doing my taxes for over 25 years. Was worried..until I got into it...then it was smooth like butta!
What's great about it: Easy to understand...thought of things I didn't
What's not so great: Issues with e file and payment page
