Surprisingly Easy!

I was shocked at how easy Turbo Tax was to use, despite several friends assuring me that even I could do it. It was friendly, thorough without being overwhelming, and exceptionally clear. I'm thrilled!
What's great about it: Held my hand the whole way through, explained everything, and offered helpful links
What's not so great: Would like a place to upload my spreadsheet to keep everything in one area

Makes Taxes a Snap

I am a sole proprietor who owns rental property in another state, and has stockholdings. Turbotax covers all these things comprehensively, and makes filing your taxes mainly a matter of gathering the data to fill in the schedules. There may however be tax issues it doesn't address, but I haven't seen them. Next year I will have had a timber sale from my land to report; I don't know if TT has the special forms used to report on this, for example.
What's great about it: Comprehensive coverage of things most of us are involved in
What's not so great: None I have encountered

We did it!

This was our first attempt at Turbo Tax. My wife and I struggled through (meaning we're not numbers people) but the call in helps were FANTASTIC!! reps were polite and courteous as well as extremely knowledgeable and patient.
We'll do it next year for sure . . . hopefully it will be easier.

Great program. The more years you use it the easier it becomes.
What's great about it: Great for inputing last years data. Flagging is great.
What's not so great: Always hard to find home office deduction areas. Sometimes you want to print certain entry pages and can't.

This has been the best turbo tax experience yet! I have been using TurboTax for more that 15 years and the user interface just gets better every year.
What's great about it: Easy Q and A that covers everything!
What's not so great: Would like a persistent window showing basic return info

My Years with TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for many years and found it to be an excellent way to file my taxes. Suggest with Federal retirees, you go into more detail as to how the tax from a Federal Annuity is determined. IRS Pub 715 is the guide but very hard to understand.
What's great about it: very detailed questions that made it ease for me to give the right reply.
What's not so great: I am Federal retiree. I receive a monthly annuity payment (1099R). There needs to be more detail given to this.
