Respect your previous customers

I was went 2 Turbotax subscriptions and charged twice. I am not sure how it happened but I know that I was inundated with Turbotax advertisements requesting that Ido something (sign-up or other) during the autumn period. I do not want to receive or get billed for 2 next year.
What's great about it: Usual efficiency in filing
What's not so great: Incessant advertising to previous customers who automatically receive Turbotax
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Awesome In every way

I have used Turbo Tax for over a decade and am always happy. I want to give 100% thank you to Ina who helped me over the phone to pay and efile my CA return. She hung in there and tried everything till we got it - give her a raise!!!!
What's great about it: Ina was the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE REP

This is the 14th year I have used Turbo Tax. It has gotten easier to use each year. I would highly recommend the product to everyone.
What's great about it: Easy to get, easy to use.
What's not so great: Sometimes the Step-by-Step gets lost

Best out there, used for years, makes it easy

Have used TurboTax and TurboTax Home & Business for 20+ years. It's good for beginners (step by step), intermediate (let me do the steps I know) and pros (forms only but calculates it all for you).
The software, explanations and interface are intuitive and easy to use. As mentioned in the cons', while it won't impact your tax return amount, for IRS tracking long-term, they need to fix the fact that prior year IRA totals dont flow automatically to the next year.. and that State Refunds which are of no value if you're subject to AMT, are still something you see on your return (and then TTax subtracts it later).
Overall, these are small items and the software is worth getting for anyone doing taxes!
What's great about it: Easy interface, Caters to all levels
What's not so great: Doesn't transfer IRA balances from prior year - nor - zero out state refunds if subject to AMT year prior

Minor but frustrating glitches

Some required fields on form 8283 will not populate unless you override. When you do that it won't let you efile. So you end up having to delete the override and file the return with missing (but minor) information. (or file a hard copy).
Also...Why does Turbo tax always give you a message that it is "unusual" to have neither a balance due, nor a refund??? This will happen every time you apply an overpayment to the next year's estimated taxes...a very common practice! It just makes TurboTax look ignorant of the real world of tax filings.
What's great about it: Works nicely for 98% of what it is supposed to do
What's not so great: Reports an error due to a simple override to correct a TurboTax mistake
