Help is much better

I have always used Turbo tax for my refunds because it walks you through every thing and you normally don't have to search for the schedules you need to use. This year something changed and I had a hard time entering my business deductions. Hope this is fixed for next year!
What's great about it: Improved help search
What's not so great: Business section harder to use than previous versions

Best way to do taxes, but...

I've been using Turbo Tax for over 5 years. My taxes are simple but my wife's business takes time. The software has guided me very well on what I need to do, or not. But this year I entered the Form 1099-Misc twice without realizing it. When I finished and saw what I owe, I realized something was wrong. I went back and found the 1099 entered twice. The software should have caught that.
What's great about it: Easiest way to do business taxes.
What's not so great: Make sure you understand what you are entering.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years. I feel confident that I am getting an accurate result. Being risk averse, I worry about the possibility of an audit even though I am doing all I can to provide honest data. So far, since I began using Turbo Tax in the 1990's, I haven't been audited. That suggests that Turbo Tax is accurate and reliable. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: The tax code is complicated and it is very easy to make a mistake. Turbo Tax seems to eliminate problems.
What's not so great: In previous years, we could use a credit card without fees. That changed this year.

Great Program

It is a really good program. A bit cumbersome with all the questions; unfortunately, they are ALL necessary to complete a somewhat complex return.
What's great about it: Very complete with all those 1099's, K-1's, etc.

Need to enter a lot of info in order to find out you are ineligible for deduction. Try to efile, charged ccard, but then returns information "not eligible for e-file" hopeless, irritiating, waste of money. If I could I would give ZERO or NEGATIVE stars!!
What's great about it: none
What's not so great: endless loops, not necessary information, bugs, no improvements of any kind!!!!!

TurboTax walked me thru some areas that I did not have in previous years. I had to work thru a couple of scenarios to be sure I was putting some info in the correct place, but that was on me, not TurboTax.
What's great about it: Was able to walk thru wife's business expenses and our investment sales
