Excellent Process

I use TT every year. Transfer of prior info to current year is great. The Q&A to walk through the forms is easy.

I have been using TurboTax for 15 years. Home and Business. Would be quite complicated on the Business income and deductions without having Turbo Tax.

Most was so easy

This year was the easiest yet until I got to the K1. Actually, once I settled down, Turbo Tax walked me through the K1s pretty well. Most of the difficulties were Broker related, not Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Download from financial institutions
What's not so great: K1 nightmare

What's great about it: Mostly easy and straight forward;
What's not so great: Sometimes jumping back and forth gets difficult. K-1's are difficult but TT doesn't seem to smooth it out.

Novices: Fear Not!

I absolutely HATE doing taxes and I'm about as far as one can get from being an accountant. This program made it palatable and not so scary. It's pretty easy to follow and the recommendations are helpful too. I also always get the audit defense. I think it's worth it.
What's great about it: It's easy to follow. Steps are explained. There is a way to get more information if something is not immediately clear.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good Product

Turbo Tax is basically a good product that makes filing taxes easy. The help tools and links are just that, helpful. I've been using Turbo Tax since 2008. The down side is there is always a glitch in the system each year. This year it was the inability to download additional state returns directly online. There was a work around phone order process that provided a code to get the additional returns.
What's great about it: Easy to use. Very good customer support.
What's not so great: There is always some glitch in the system.
