I've used Turbotax most years; this is the first time I've used the Business edition. Really poor explanations throughout. Not pleased with product and may try other options next year.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy and Accurate

It makes the burden of complicated tax filing very easy and is user friendly. Questions regarding taxes are quickly and effectively answered. Easy electronic filing.
What's great about it: Walks through all subjects and provides answers to any questions.
What's not so great: State filing should be included.

W2-G SLOW and Confusing
on April 10, 2016
Posted by: Mc22
I would like an EASY way to enter Multiple W2-G Forms from the Same Payer. There are many common field entries from one to the next. I should be able to speed my entry by using the same Payer info over again on the next form. Or even a Spreadsheet style for multiple entries ( up to 50 ) Also, there are some unclear and confusing Deduction instructions for 1099-Misc (prize Winnings) and W2-G
What's great about it: All Else GREAT
What's not so great: Can't easily enter Multiple W2-G's

Overall - still a cost-effective alternative to brick&mortar tax-preparers. i've been utilizing for over 15-years.
What's great about it: most data carry-forward to next tax year.
What's not so great: some data not carry-forward, specifically form State of Iowa IA4562B.

Rick's review 2016
on April 10, 2016
Posted by: RickRoberts4857
I'm self employed and saw that turbotax has a new version for self employed. I will look that over to see if it makes more sense to use next year.
What's great about it: I like the question and answer format. I'm self employed and home office works well for me.
What's not so great: Don't like how when you fill out a section of a list and then press done it jumps back to the top of the list

True Believer!
on April 10, 2016
Posted by: RTipton
The first couple of years I used Turbo Tax, I calculated my taxes manually as a double-check for accuracy (ok, I was skeptical). When the results came out the same as Turbo Tax, I was convinced. After using Turbo Tax for many, many years now, I am a big fan, and I would highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Easy to use, convenient, eFiling is simple, like having a tax adviser at your fingertips
What's not so great: I really can't complain about any aspect of Turbo Tax!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
