Good but

I'll skip to the cons. State tax filing - extra fees apply - should be included/free. Gouging left right and center with default options on the home straight. Business expenses: each time you enter you have a long series of questions to answer. Again and again - just to edit an expense. Drives me nuts. Another huge time waster.
What's great about it: reliable
What's not so great: painfully circuitous

Very knowledgeable and friendly rep support. I called at 6:30pm Pacific Time on Saturday (4/9/16) on how to e-file and the rep was friendly and patiently walking me through the whole process. Thank you so much.

Not so great this year

I have used TurboTax for years. This year's experience was the worst, by far. Previously, I used Deluxe and had a Sched. C included. This year I paid more for the Home and Business so it would do the Sched. C. It did not import many of the numbers from my 2014 return so the information was very incomplete. Also the software has glitches. I accidentally clicked on Partnership/LLC instead of an S-Corp for the K-1 section. After finally reviewing the return, it saw that as an error that I didn't have a name and number for my partnership and it had no place to delete that information. Therefore, it wouldn't let me file electronically. Sucky Software this year.
What's great about it: Step by Step process
What's not so great: Did not always work right

AS Always... I had 90% of my items gathered up and Turbo Tax walks me through the rest. Confident its correctness against the Fed requirements.
What's great about it: Thurough

My son spent the summer at Philmont Scout Camp in NM and we could not download the state filing forms, State taxes are critircally important. Why the disconnect?

Balky and buggy

Unfixable error. Press link to tie your 1099 MISC to a Schedule C. No link. Entered through the business section. Further bugs printing. Crashed during entry. Ran very slowly. Disappointing. At least I'm done and have fileable (by mail) returns.
What's great about it: Has my data going back years
What's not so great: Balky, buggy and circular
