Didn't remind me

I forgot to enter one dividend, but TT didn't remind me/ask me about it (as I had entered divided from XYZ over past 5+ years) based on my 2014 return.

Right On Tax App

I have been using TurboTax for years. Better all the time. I am getting older now at 74. Not too old, but slower than I was. TurboTax continues to support my errant thoughts and wrong directions I take at times. It keeps me straight. I wouldn't use another app for any reason. I look forward to the new programs each year. Something good is coming!

What's great about it: Always a good purchase, user friendly, quick and easy
What's not so great: Takes time to access last years info, could be system too.

TT 2015

Biggest problem is that I like to maintain an air gap as much as possible 2015 version makes this more difficult than ever in a world where the treat is bigger than ever.

My sixth year using TurboTax Home & Business and it has me well trained! The organization is logical and the computations are quick, quick, quick. I have a small business as well as two federal retirement pensions but no other investments so no Schedule K complications. No state return either as I live in Texas (we get nailed with sales and property tax instead of income tax). The program assures me that my audit risk is low. And there is still time to get a run in before dark. Life is good.
What's great about it: Under four hours from software load to filing

Details hard to revisit

I file Sched C and wanted to make changes in categories of expenses, or found new ones to include, and there didn't seem to be a way to get back to the walk-through process to change those...only to "override" a number on the form.
Also accounting for new obamacare reporting is confusing, especially since I was on it only for part of the year...but that might be less a TT issue than a Fed 1095 issue.

TurboTax gets better every year!

I've been using TurboTax since 2001. While my tax return has gotten more complex, it seems that TurboTax has gotten easier to use. I really appreciate the frequent and comprehensive checks and questions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
What's great about it: Orderly path through the process - no wasted steps
What's not so great: Navigation occasionally a little tricky

Takes the Pain Out of Tax Time

Its a great product that I unfortunately only deal with once a year. I need to use it more often to review how I can live my life to get the best deduction throughout the year.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax makes YOU the tax expert.
What's not so great: Final Review errors can be a little cryptic.
