Easy Peasy

I've used TurboTax for years, both before and after starting my business. This makes doing my Sole Proprietor taxes along with my other taxes...W2s....so easy.
What's great about it: Imports previous years info...like...all of it!
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

2015 Return

2015 version simplified vs 2014, Donations portion much easier.
Didn't have to enter individual dates etc like before. Although I ended up with standard deduction, simplification was appreciated

What's not so great: Unable to just file and pay using credit card without being charged extra fees onto credit card for both fed & state

Perfect for a small business!

Every year I dread having to file my taxes. Between the gathering and organizing of receipts, figuring out all my random income, and having a general fear of math, I usually put if off till the last minute! Last year I tried Turbo Tax for the first time, and was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. This year I ordered TurboTax again, and was done with my taxes in only one night! Having Turbo tax automatically bring over info from the previous year saved tons of time!
Whenever I had a question, Turbo Tax "more info" buttons were right there with the answer. For the first time since I started my small business, I felt confident in sending in my taxes. I'm actually not dreading next year as much and that's a huge deal for me!
If you're a small business owner, I'd highly recommend checking out Turbo Tax!

What's great about it: Easy to understand, lots of helpful tips, easily pulled info from last year
What's not so great: A bit expensive, but completely worth it!

TurboTax Still Rocks!

Once again I know why I use TurboTax. Retired and drawing social security yet still earning income from a business. TurboTax makes it all relatively easy, just walking you through it step by step.
What's great about it: Auto calculation of taxable social security benefits

I have been using TurboTax for over 25 years to do my income taxes (and sometimes tax returns for others) and I have always liked the format and ease of using the program. This year it seems to be even easier to use, although there were a few things I didn't like. To do your income tax returns properly is, at best, a tedious job, but TurboTax makes it almost enjoyable. The program does not force you to approach the job in only one way, but instead provides you with options, either to let the program lead you through the process, or you can choose to do it "your way", or any combination thereof. But whatever your approach, always at the top of the screen is the current calculation of what you owe or what you are getting back. I have my own business which complicates my return, but TurboTax handles the job nicely. I wish there were running totals when working on Schedules, and I was not fond of the program's critical comments of User's choice(s). But still, I could not conceive of doing my taxes without using TurboTax, a longtime friend and more than handy, necessary assistant.
What's great about it: Ease of Use and Convenient Format
What's not so great: No ability to print a single page; some program comments were critical of User's choice(s)

Taxes made easy
