needs improvement

during the tax returns unput, time and time again the program asked if I wanted to save my work. I did. And then later I was unable to re-open the return with ease. I tried all sorts of search functions on my 2015 hp laptop to no avail. So frustrating. I finally decided to start a new return. Unhappily. It takes me hours to complete my returns. Swearing turbo tax never again. And there appeared my previous tax returns from a few days before. Fix this will you please. I can't guarantee I'll remember next year to jump these extra hoops. thanks.
This was home and business purchased online, even with transfer info from my quicken 2016. Seems I remember same thing in the past. I've been using turbotax for 10+ years.
What's not so great: your failure to ease re-entering a return in progress

Tax Preparation like on GPS for Maximum Refund

I used to hire tax preparer for my tax returns. I was told by my friends that Intuit TurboTax is user friendly, so I was encouraged to try it. They were right. It was my first time to use Intuit TurboTax but I was able to complete my tax filing preparation easily. ITR preparation with Intuit Turbotax is like having a GPS from start to finish of e-filing. I even got email and text notification within 30minutes of e-filing that my federal tax return was accepted by IRS. I used TurboTax Home and Business 2015. This is an excellent and awesome product.

Instructions are easy to follow

Some time I have to enter a bunch of information before your software told me "with your income, you are not able to use this items as your deduction. Since the income was already entered, why even ask to enter this information if it can not be used.
What's great about it: I like your transfer/down load features for W-2, 1009-INT, 1009-DIV and all Brokerage account.
What's not so great: I wish some of the entries can be determined earlier (see Review).

very good product.
Medical bills we file by date and would be easier to input if could enter doctor, lab, prescriptions, and such without changing topic heading breaking apart our billing papers. But if deductions for these items differ then I understand. Think about it.
What's great about it: transfer of all standard data
What's not so great: flagging for a break needs more affirmation of what happens

I have used TurboTax for years. They provide an excellent, easy to use program that has provided great results.

I have been using this product since it was called MacIntax. In the last few years it has become much more difficult to determine which of the various version will be applicable to my tax return. TurboTax Deluxe used to be more than sufficient to the problem.
However, as more people have IRA / 401k and stock market activities, the increased TurboTax capabilities seem to be shifting to the higher-priced versions.
What's great about it: Easy to answer questions.
What's not so great: No indication of which version of TurboTax to use for income from a trust.

got good refund

turbo tax for home & business rocked my return!! All i had to do is answer questions & turbo tax did the rest for me. Not having access to all the IRS forms was kind of a downturn for them.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: not having direct acess to all forms
