What's great about it: Transfers & uploads
What's not so great: Home & Business does not handle trust (1041). Use business and loose pros

WISH STATE WAS FREE...

THIS PROGRAM IS EASY TO USE SO YOU CAN GET YOUR TAXES DONE IN NO TIME. I JUST DON'T LIKE THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY TO E-FILE THE STATE. THIS PRODUCT WOULD BE A LOT MORE POPULAR IF YOU ONLY HAD TO PAY THE UPFRONT COST OF THE SOFTWARE AND E-FILING FED AND STATE WAS FREE.

Still stressful

Turbo Tax works very well but, unfortunately, it would not load a return from years before 2015, such as 2014, when I had to have a CPA do the return due to estate issues. Also, I had considerable problems figuring out that solar skylights aren't listed under "skylights" and windows. When I finally got help from the skylight company, it finally worked out and I got my credit when I waited for a page subsequent to "Skylights" and reported them as "Solar Panels".
What's great about it: It is step by step
What's not so great: Doesn't tell you enough about what's coming up (ie Solar deductions for skylights).
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Can do complicated return

I have used this product for years without any problems. Started by having a side business and ended with IRA withdrawals. Easy to follow buit-in instructions.
What's great about it: Easy to use, does not miss anything
What's not so great: Estimated tax computation was not automatic for my return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

It is difficult to move up and down on the page because the sliding bar on the right is flaky and is hard to get to show and hard to keep active.
What's great about it: goes easily from one topic to the next

Good experience

There are two weak areas, patent royalty revenue as a capital gain and state employment pension exemptions from state tax. The latter should be corrected. All in all a good experience, improves every year.

Great Product!

This is a great product. My whole family has used it for years. It really saves us time and money. I love the audit protection (essential for small businesses), and that it remembers the last year's data for me. No repeat typing!
What's great about it: Helps me deal with my multiple business, investments, and situations
What's not so great: That my kids trashed my house while I was working on it, lol
