What's great about it: I continue to be impressed with Turbo Tax Program

Turbo Tax is still an effective tax tool!

Overall a good experience with Turbo Tax. I have always liked how quickly my previous year information is uploaded to save me so much data entry. I was a little disappointed in how difficult it was to switch my plan from printing & mailing my State return to E-filing. You would think that TT would have a quick and easy process to make this change. It was not easy to find any info on how to E-file my state return after I already had E-filed my Federal return the day before.
What's great about it: walks you through confusing topics at your own pace and offers forums to help explain details Iwas not familiar with.
What's not so great: Not easy to get some details on state tax forms. And it was a struggle to change my mind and elect to E-file.

I have a small business and my wife is employed. This software is easy to use, very complete with great directions.
I like the review process that highlights specific areas needing more clarification or input.

Seven years - never disappointed

Excellent tool. I had to contact a Tech Advisor in connection with NC Sales tax tables - which were not available. (NC didn't send the tables until 3/30- ugh!). The fix was clunky, but the tech advisor was wonderful. I've been using TT for 7 years and would be in deep trouble without it.
What's great about it: love importing docs from my financial institutions, Turbo Tax takes me by the hand and leads me through the labyrinth
What's not so great: had some difficulty navigating - especially when I had to go back.

Great for complex filings

I was able to find by googling the question & answers from Turbo Tax blogs. Thank all those smart folks that go to bat for us. One was that the CD provides a better approach to handling forms than does on line. I had to address a deduction on line 36 & 21 plus transfer all my dated that I had already done online. Thank you bloggers for the details to do that. It saved me 2 days. Each year I gain confidence in fling with Turbo Tax. This year highlight when I found the forms Icon that open up my world. I feel it needs a better way to be found. I guessed at clicking it and wow it open up all the forms.
What's great about it: Questions that guide you
What's not so great: Sometimes the wrong answers are miss using the incorrect forms

Sometimes confusing

Need a step by step for 4835 and fuel tax.
To do this survey, having to come up with a nickname is a pain. It took me four tries. I only kept trying to I could write this note.

What's not so great: If you have anything out of the ordinary you have to go to forms so you could miss something

Had to go around data trsf'd from prior yr return that was wrong on the depreciation worksheet form. This was a problem last year too!
What's great about it: Generally easy to use
What's not so great: Depreciation section re: Sched C has been a problem for 2yrs now
