Overall - Very Satisfied. I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and plan to do so as long as I continue to do taxes myself.
What's great about it: Transferring data from year to year. General ease of use.
What's not so great: Some problems of data consistency from federal to state forms.

Turbo Tax Review

Indispensable. No way I could continue to do taxes myself without Turbo tax. Generally good at providing explanations, but there are spots where I was left guessing where to find information and/or how to resolve problems. Overall, very good.
What's great about it: Fairly straightforward; helps immensely!
What's not so great: When fixing errors will often times ask questions without explaining how or where to find required informantion
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

E-Filing Blues

The question shouyld read; " Have you E-FILED previously?" Not , " Have you filed previously?" I was rejected due to that one distinction in prior filing status. But....I figured it out after further inquiries. Still...Turbo Tax is a GREAT tax Tool.
What's great about it: Quick, easy after 1st time, no post office lines, no hunting for stamp machines,
What's not so great: confusing for 1st timers who historically mailed them.

Finally over

I thought the charge to efile was a bit high. Process was simple to use however I did have several questions that I was not a to confirm with anyone. Other than that it was all good.
What's great about it: easy to follow step by step
What's not so great: unable to contact live person for questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Very easy and does cover all of the deductions to minimize the tax bite.
What's great about it: Turbo tax is very intuitive and well laid out
What's not so great: I have used TurbiTax for a number of years and have no cons.

How TurboTax makes my return easy and accurate

TurboTax makes the tax laws from the federal to all states
reasonably easy to understand. Having access to last years
returns instantly is also a big help. E-filing and e-banking is
a big help, too. The Audit Protection feature allows me to
sleep at night. I'm a TurboTax client for life!

TurboTax Home and Business is great software

I have used TurboTax for many years and continue to be impressed by the progress in making it user friendly. My only complaint is that on Schedule E changes are often being made to the supporting information screens for the inputted figures, and what get enters on the screen may not show up on the actual Form, or vice-versa. Also in doing "what ifs" the user needs to be very careful in using the "Override" function since the changes may not flow through to the top level...ie to Form 1040. Other than those two things, the software is fantastic and I strongly recommend it to others.
What's great about it: Interviews continue to get better with great help online
What's not so great: Some of the supporting documentation screens are confusing
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good until printing failed

When I tried to print my return, the printer created the forms but put a rectangle symbol instead of numbers. So the printing was worthless. It did not work on the PDF function either. Could be a setting that is wrong on my MAC, but I don't know
What's great about it: Worked well as always
