Two things Death and Taxes - at least TurboTax makes the second one less gruesome.
What's great about it: Liked the ease on navigating through the process

We still owe

It's my first time to use tax software. For the most part, it is the same as doing the work myself. I hoped to save money, but I still owe taxes. I had to do a bit of extra research this year, but hopefully, it will be easier next year.
What's great about it: Our worksheets and info are saved
What's not so great: Lots of superfluous questions; hard to customize

Almost lost a bundle

I don't think the program remembers where you left off in the process. As a result, I didn't have my Estimated Tax information included. I couldn't believe that I owed that much, so I did the entire process over again and found where I had missed the tax payments.
I think there should be a comparison with last year's return and specifically tell you where they are different before having to go through each section manually.

I've used Turbo Tax forever. It always works well for me.
What's great about it: It's just so easy.
What's not so great: Pricey.

FEDERAL RETURN WAS VERY EASY TO PREPARE. THE NEW YORK STATE MODULE WAS A LITTLE MORE DIFFICULT BUT STILL COMPLETELY SATISFACTORY.

2015 taxes

Turbo Tax retrieved information from previse year and asked questions about differences. Made me look for deductions I was not aware of.
What's great about it: Forced me to find deductions I was not aware of.
