I have been using Turbo Tax for a number of years. I am a retired CPA. Certain ares are somewhat confusing i.e. foreign tax credits. I also,for the first time ever, had trouble opening the program every time I had to reopen it. It updated the program every time. The way you handle tax payments within deductions instead of having a separate seems strange since it is really a reduction of taxes owed. Not very logical to a preparer of returns.
What's great about it: Shortens time in some areas of return and does all of the calculations
What's not so great: somewhat cumbersome to use

I have used Turbo Tax since I bought my first home in 1999 (the time that I first itemized my taxes); outside of one year that I made a mistake on my return, every other year has been great. In fact, that one year where the audit occurred shows that I should have invested in the Tax Audit Defense/Protection program because I am certain that I could have avoided additional costs instead of directly working with the IRS. All in all, I would highly recommend using Turbo Tax for anyone. The questions are fairly easy to understand to help determine where certain rules apply. After completing my taxes each year, I am very confident with the results.
What's great about it: simple questions, good forum to help answer questions
What's not so great: Turbo Tax could use some additional granularity for non-tax professionals regarding unique situations.

Problem with taxing authority for the State of Maryland. Although Turbo Tax has it as a selection, it will not recognize Charles County.

Easy as connect the dots

First time I used any tax software and found it to be very easy and really like that the forms are double checked for accuracy.
What's great about it: Hand holding through the process makes this easy
What's not so great: None that I noticed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Like a CPA Turbo Tax is here!

I have always used Turbo Tax with excellent results with little effort to get a professionally covered Tax consultation with out the big expense. Have always gotten money back and Turbo Tax has never missed a category that applies to my financial situation.
The only quirk this year was being able to pick up where I left off without having to answer all the same questions again. Maybe user error but didn't experience that in previous year versions.

Best phone customer service reps that really patiently listen to you and help you with everything step by step if necessary.
What's great about it: Very helpful when it asks about deductions and credits
What's not so great: when reviewing stage is up gets confusing as to how to find whats wrong.

Ten years and still great!

We like using TurboTax. It is great to see the comparisons from last years tax categories as we go along also. We especially like the setup of questions it asks that are saved from last year, so we don't have to go through all the questions each year. Those questions are necessary the first go around with a small business, but not after that. Our business is the same every year and we really appreciate going straight to the categories that apply to us. We also like the buttons that let you research topics as you go from the IRS. This is our tenth year to buy the Home and Business and we will continue to use TurboTax. Thanks for a great product.
What's great about it: Easy to use because our business and personal basic data is saved from the previous year and saves our business info.
What's not so great: I can never find a place to add my professional dues as a retiree, which is supposed to be allowed.
