No Refund

When adding my insurance renewals from another state I haven't worked in for several years , it was confusing where to put it as there where two different times it asked me to put that information there. Didn't know what to do.
So I just picked one and went with it.
I don't understand when doing my New York State out of state return, why they consider a lot more of my income on their form than I made there! I know that's coming from New York and not from you but still confusing.
Other than that I like being able to use turbo tax . so far I haven't been audited , not so confident that I'm getting it right but what the heck! I noticed the number of pages my taxes where filed on totaled 54 pages! There has to be a better way!

Easier than ever

I've been using TurboTax to file my taxes for years. This year, it was better than ever (well, not the taxes, but the process). It was easy and quick ... by the way, I have a part time business and use the Home and Business version. There was no hair pulling, no muttering of unkind words -- Turbo Tax did what it was supposed to do and did it very well. Only thing that would make me happier was if I'd had a giant refund due; alas, I didn't, but can't blame TurboTax for that.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions
What's not so great: nothing

Amazing year after year!

There really are no cons to Turbo Tax! I've been using them for the last several years, and it's been a very great experience each and every year. The best part is that it saves all the previous year information too if you used Turbo Tax. That is a very convenient tool and interesting to see how each year was.
I do save all of my documents in a separate backup, but it is nice to know that it is also saved through the Turbo Tax program if I ever needed to "reprint" a copy.
Worth the money!
What's great about it: Super easy - and has all your previous year info!
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Kept creating extra worksheets

It kept creating extra worksheets and forms which I had to go back and delete, because they then were flagged as errors. I finally worked around it.

Turbo Tax is the way to go always

its the best way to do your taxes, but filing this year was a bit of a pain as the link to the website to purchase the auditor protection wasn't working and I couldn't proceed with filing my taxes until the following day. Thankfully I didn't wait until the deadline to file...I can't imagine the anxiety if that happened to me then.
I've used turbo tax for years and I've never had a problem with this in the past. I'm sure it was just a weird glitch and probably will never happen again.
What's great about it: easy and quick, filing is pain free for the most part
What's not so great: filing took two attempts...first attempt transfer system wasn't working
