I have used Turbo tax for about 20 years. I am not a rocket scientist, but using Turbo tax makes me feel like I am, especially since I now have the benefits of the support team.
What's great about it: Support team helped in updating my 2014 for business forms which I needed.
What's not so great: None. It wasmy own lack of faith in ease of delivery and that they understood my predicament.

I use Turbo Tax every year. It's an excellent software for preparing your taxes. It guides you through every step, providing important information that helps you prepare your taxes fast and at the same time, maximizing your return.

Software is good!

So, I understand that security is important, and that everyone is freaking out about computer security. But, I really DO NOT want to give any more personal information to a third-party than absolutely needed.
I am not concerned that someone will know how much I made and be able to file my taxes for me. They would need a lot of information about me -- employment, pension funds, savings, investments.
But, rather that some corporation gets hacked and happens to save my PII (like driving license) in unencrypted databases. So, no, I don't want INTUIT collecting this information.
What's great about it: Makes a complex process easier
What's not so great: Now asking me for my driving license?

2015 taxes !

It just takes awhile, reading directions etc. However, we're dealing with the IRS, of the Fed Govt! Complicated is their middle name! TurboTax really simplifies it all, Answer the questions, & spread the work out over a couple of work times or three, rest in between, get info, & go back to it! Suddenly you're done! I'm a small business, in addition to us filing jointly. Take those items to a paid preparer & you'll pay way more.
Keeps my life quite simple, really do appreciate that!

User Friendly Most of the time

A few problems with errors this time. It would show me the error, but really not clear on how to fix it. Often not even sure how the error occurs.
I do like the LEARN MORE options when available. Those come in real handy with the examples of deductions.

Easy to work with

I had finally resolved to efile! Alas your software made it too difficult, even after I reestablished my account with turbortax.
Very disappointed.
I think the software should tell you ahead of time what you need to efile and the options before it takes you throu8gh all kinds of hoops and then only to say sorry....we don't recognize you, oops that doesn't work. I even got to point of getting pin from irs.

First time I can say I am disappointed with turbotax software.
I am filing by mail.

Turbo Tax allows tax payers who have the ability to "Organize, Process gathered information, Undeerstand and Analize this information , and most of all can reason can " Reason and Think' to avoid expensive preparation fees by professional prepares. This program allows the average-general knowledged and the professional prepares the ability to accurately prepare their annual tax return with minimum difficulty.
