Pretty good, as usual

Every year, TT only accepts city taxes from one of the spouses. Every year, I have to fix the printed copy before sending it in.
What's great about it: familiar
What's not so great: Bad at local taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Probably the only good thing about taxes

I've used Turbotax on and off for many years, and also used accountants. Turbotax is fast, easy, and walks you through the whole process amazingly well. Especially considering the complexity of the tax code!
It's an incredibly well-written program and does just what it says. Even for complex situations (e.g. freelancers).
I highly recommend TurboTax to anyone.
What's great about it: Easy to use, works well even for complex financial situations, cheaper than an accountant
What's not so great: Takes time, can take a few minutes to research where certain things go

Used for years - easy with all of the e-mail notices in preparation of receiving actual software. Also complete the package as I receive my tax information.
What's great about it: Easier every year!
What's not so great: Sometimes meed learning curve to move throughout the rreturn

Worst software I have ever used

I used Turbo Tax in the past and found it much more usable than this years - the questions are not as clear and if your return gets rejected like my state return did it does not help you correct the error. I used another companies software last year and liked it much better. I could have done the state return by hand much faster and it would not be rejected - if it gets rejected again this is what I will do.
What's great about it: It includes our school district tax return

Good Product

Overall, I give the product four stars. It does exactly like it is advertised. Accuracy is of the utmost importance in filing taxes and it is. Downside is that I have to buy a more expensive product than I'd like to file a schedule C, but... got to do it. Also, it would be nice if the state efile fee was a little lower like some other companies.
What's great about it: Accuracy, Easy to complete, Easy carryforward from Prior Year
What's not so great: Value: Must get the more expensive product for few forms; State efiling fee a bit high
Pros: I bought or sold investments
