Love Turbo Tax

I love Turbo Tax and have been using it for many years now. It does the work of a CPA for a lot less money. The part of the taxes that is most complicated is gathering up all the info. Naturally, both CPAs and Turbo Tax need all of this info. Once this step is done, it is more economical to use Turbo Tax. The two times that I went to a CPA, I was surprised too see that even they use Turbo Tax. One of them took so long to prepare my return (even though I had provided all the documents a month and a half prior), I was afraid I would miss the filing deadline. So, unless you own multiple businesses and assets and have a really complicated tax situation, why bother using a pricy and possibly slow middle man when you can take care of it yourself in the comfort of your own home or office.
The only improvement I would hope Turbo Tax does in the near future is making individual segments more non-linear so that if I want to update a simple data in one of the segments, I don't have to answer all the questions that I had answered a few minutes ago again and again.
What's great about it: Easy to use with step by step directions
What's not so great: Individual segments are not non-linear
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Going down hill

I've been using turbo tax for about 12 years and have always been happy with them, but this year the business section did not seem to be as straight forward and easy to do as in the past. I seemed to get lost out in the actual forms rather than answering questions.
What's great about it: Personal info was easy and straight forward
What's not so great: Business section no so easy

Outstanding Tax Return Software

Have been using TuboTax for man years... even if you have a complicated return, TuboTax makes this laborious task tolerable and easy to do.
What's great about it: Walks you through step by step, plus populates previous years return data so you can compare along the way!
What's not so great: That fact that the government makes us do this aweful task every year!

First Time User

I was impressed on how detailed the questions where. Also was happy to learn of Federal Tax deductions which I had no idea I could consider. Turbo Tax also makes it easy to complete the State Tax return as well.
This was my 1st time use of Turbo Tax, and will continue using going forward.
Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Enlightning and saved me a lot of money
What's not so great: None

IP Pin Process Sucks

As part of your review process, you should ask if the IRS sent a CP01A form. It's happening more and more and becoming part of the norm. Fix that and you'll have a rockstar solution.
What's great about it: Fairly Easy to Use
What's not so great: Doesn't adjust for the new world of past identity theft

This is my first year using TurboTax, it is much improved over prior years. I feel good about the program.
