Seems very straightforward.

I've used Turbo Tax for my home and business for years now. It has been a good experience and I think it has saved me money. I would recommend it to a small business professional or a regular employee with a W 2.
What's great about it: calculates everything for me.Liked $ saving tips
What's not so great: difficult to get back and change anything I forgot or missed in my numbers.

First time using for business

I saw an accountant prior to doing my taxes this year because we rented vacation property for the first time and I wanted to be on solid ground in an area unfamiliar to me. The program's interview did not ask about capital improvements over the term of ownership in a clear way so they could be depreciated per my accountant's instructions. I had to add the improvements made to the original value of the property minus the land value in order to depreciate those improvements.
What's great about it: Interview helpful
What's not so great: Couldn't deal with depreciation in an obvious way.

Too Much $$ to efile State Return

Pros, Cons, and Suggested Improvements

TurboTax is great at understanding the various tax codes.
However, why not either present a K-1 blank form and have us enter the numbers, codes, etc., as we see them... or better yet, allow us to scan it in and YOU figure it out.
Hugoton Trust (HGT) is a special case and extremely difficult to calculate and enter. Further, the numbers reported by my stock broker in an attempt to help do not agree with the numbers supplied directly by HGT (relatively minor deviations). Help is needed in the proper data entry using information from either source.
I also had some trouble understanding your requests regarding the differences between state (OH) and federal values especially regarding health insurance premiums.
What's great about it: Great at finding all the deductions.
What's not so great: Interest & K-1's difficult to enter correctly

Quick and Easy

2015 taxes were easy to do, thanks to TurboTax. I will definitely use TurboTax next year and every year thereafter.
What's great about it: walked me right thru the process of completing forms that would have been very challenging on my own

Everything I needed

I am doing taxes for the family which ends up to be 3 states and federal. When buying the states plus the electronic submittals the costs really add up. but everything is working fine so far.
What's great about it: 2 states and Fed returns
What's not so great: Expensive when you add all the parts
