Flling taxes

It is a pretty expensive program and not easy to understand sometimes. if we pay so much money it should be made in a way that people with a second language can be able to do this much easier...make it for dummies.

Software assumes 1099 MISC is associated with schedule C even when no business exists. Then produces errors that cannot be corrected.
Filing instructions are not logical. Should be choices early in the menus that allow for e-fling to Feds and mail-in to State especially since my state charges to file electronically. Every year I curse your software at this stage.

Easy, thorough & great!

This was my first time filing with TurboTax. I will definitely file with it again.
What's great about it: Good explanations, nice walk through necessary information needed.
What's not so great: Some of the error issues need a bit more explaining.

No Need to Feel Taxed!

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have generally liked its format. The fact that it carries my previous year's tax information over each time is very helpful and makes things much easier. They do a great job of explaining and/or delineating various options that I might choose to get the best return amount. I used another brand once and came back to Turbo Tax. The thing I found to be extremely frustrating again this year, however, is the fact that I am always forced to return to the beginning of any list or category I might be working on. For example, when I am inputting a donation to a charity on my list, the program always returns me to the top of that list, forcing me to scroll down to find my place for the next donation amount. This is cumbersome, time consuming and frustrating. Whenever I worked in any category, I could never stop in the middle and expect to return to that point to resume recording information. Turbo Tax should be able to program its software to allow you to go right back to the next entry from which you left off. When making an entry, the program shouldn't automatically default back to the beginning of the entire list or page, forcing you to constantly scroll down to find the appropriate place.
What's great about it: Easy to use, helpful prompt information, love the fact that it carries my information over from year to year.
What's not so great: Awkward and cumbersome design when working within a category which forces you to always start from the top of the list.

Didn't keep information from screen to screen

There were several places in the program where I had to re-enter information from previous screens, as though it had not kept the information. One advantage of using software vs paper is that it should carry over information like this. It would be great if Intuit / TurboTax would review the software before releasing it for details like this.
What's great about it: Clear questions; being able to e-file
